Default Attn 700RPM

Ray,
I'm on the way, just left Northern California!!!
Don't sell it I have the cash and I think your price is fair. Does the plywood come with it? Will the wood cost extra? Can I keep the safety flag for long loads?
:rolle yes:

Hoo boy! There's a relic! You're about 45 years too late, Tiny. But if you get to Portland, give me a call. We'll talk Model A's over a cold drink. 50three333five766

I've been going through old Restorers lately. My dad brought his secondary collection for me to read, the mid 60's through the early 90's. Man that was a nice truck you had. I'm guessing your not to tall if you drove it from Portland to San Francisco and back? That makes my knees hurt just thinking about it!! Just wait till I post pictures of Doug Vieyra from the 60's!!

Actually I drove it from Portland to San Luis Obispo and back with three adults in the front seat and my 2-yr-old daughter in the bed (with home made camper to keep her from bouncing out.) it was different times, fer shure. I'm 6'3", and yes it was a little tight. But what a great trip!

Pluck, that was 1972. I bought the truck for a college buddy who was being discharged from the Navy in San Diego. He sent me $700 and said, "Buy me a car and come get me." That's what I bought. I reassembled it, rebuilt the brakes, made a camper for it, and away my wife, 2-yr-old daughter, and I went to pick him up. The feeways south of SLO were too intimidating, so we met him there.

I ended up buying the truck from him and refurbishing it and driving all around Oregon for several years, till I got in a tax bind and had to sell it in 1986.

In the late 50's we use to pack 3 & sometimes 4 in the front seat of my AA 280A. Of course we were all skinny little teen-agers, and it helped if some of the occupants were girls.

No way you could get a 3rd in the front seat of my PU today. Everything seems to have shrunk.

Having been there done that in those days, I just wish I had the $$$ to buy 'bout 200 "As" of every description. Oh Well, I am just happy to have made it this far in life. I turn 79 next march. Yes, that was an interesting post. Jim Langley...
