Default Lower radiator hose options.

Hello everyone,

Got a 41coupe with a 46-48 59 A-B motor. I'm in a process of refreshing the cooling system. Little problem I ran into is getting lower rad hoses that fit or can be trimmed down to fit. My wife's grandpa, guy who built the car had the radiator raised when he installed the motor. Had to do it in order for the fan to clear the upper radiator hoses due to different generator/fan mount. Has anybody here done a similar conversion and found hoses that work.? Stock 41 hoses will not work, even trimmed down because of the height difference.

I use this one from Carquest, it has an offset and can be cut to fit.

Can you make some custom hoses using copper tubing?

Since I already have 2 hoses for a stock 41 set up, which pretty much looks like what 19Fordy shows in his pics, I may try to modify those. Just need to take out about 4" from between the bends of the stock hose, the height of the bracket by which radiator is raised in my car. Then join the 2 parts with a piece of 1 3/4" metal pipe and couple clamps. If that fails I will try to source couple of the hoses RalphM recommended. None of the stores have them in stock around here. Apparently rad hose for a Bronco with a 4.9 straight 6 is not in enough demand to keep it in stock.

I ended up making my own hoses out of stock 41 hoses. Shortened the section between the bends and coupled it with 3" piece of exhaust pipe, trimmed the ends a bit. Attaching a pic of the my frankenstein creation.
