Default 52 F1 wipers

Hi guys

I’m trying get wipers to work. I am not using stock switch. I took hot 6 volt lead and attached it to top left then top right on motor terminal (see pic- sorry sideways left) the motor ran on top left for 20 seconds and died. Never ran on top right. I am assuming motor is no good. You agree?

It's hard to read and figure out even when enhanced.
Didn't realize that F-1's had electric wipers.

Figured it out. Both sides need to be hot.

I found out the motor is VERY sensitive to how tight the case bolts are when I had cleaned and lubed mine. I finally slowly tightened them while I had it running in my vise. Also lightly tapping it with a soft mallet.

Maybe just how mine is? Try it if yours seems to bind up at all.

I also tightened the mounting screws in the dash while it was running for the same reason.
