Default ‘33/‘34 Front Brake Rod Support Bolt

Does anyone have a picture of this bolt, part#23955 S, 1/4”x2” as described in the parts book. I’m looking for 2 of them. Thank you Paul

It is a step bolt which is a carriage bolt with an extra wide head shown below in the lower left corner of the page from a Ford hardware catalog of the period. Likely you can obtain them from Michael Driskell, Third Gen Automotive (35fordtn on this site).

Thank you for the description and lead on a possible source. Paul

Paul,
They are as David mentions referred to as a step bolt. Not a particularly hard item to find but most you find will have markings on the heads and will likely be zinc plated. We sell them, or you could yourself smooth the head and have them plated

smv99, I have so many crispy correct bits and pins and rods and bearings and seals on my two cars thanks to 35fordtn or Michael Driskell or Third Gen Automotive. Good Stuff from Folks That Know! Buy with confidence.

As Michael has suggested the hardware store coach bolts would do the job but their head diameter is considerably smaller than the original Ford bolt. Michael could you measure the head diameter of your reproduction bolt and report back please. I need some of these too. Thanks, Regards, Kevin.

I think I have some spare original bolts that I had cad plated many years back that you would be welcome to at no charge for the bolts.
Only thing is I am in New Zealand and you would need to cover postage cost.
Message me if interested.
Graham

Thank you
