Default Jalopy Showdown

Is anyone else here on Ford Barn planning to go to.....The Checkered Flag Jalopy Showdown, at Latimore Vally Fairgrounds, PA, not far from Gettysburg, PA, on Saturday, May 15th, 2010? This is usually a good show and lots of fun watching the old cars run the circle track in the mud

I'll be there driving one of my roadsters...

Are you driving your '35 sedan, JM? I'd love to look it over to inspect a few things for my own '35 project.

Hey guys, just a reminder... The Ford Barn focuses more on restoration and less on hot rods and customs.

Yes, I'll be there in my purple '47 Oldsmobile convertible. Stop, say hi and introduce yourself. If there are enough stock/restored Fords there I'll snap some photos and do alittle event thread.

OK Ryan,
So noted, and will keep that reminder in mind. There will also be totally original and restored to original cars at this show as well. I'll be there in my mostly all original '35 Fordor sedan considered as a Rouge class car by the Early Ford V8 Club/America.
So are you saying for future posts we should only post questions regarding restoration to original and maybe only respond to help those who are restoring to original? I may be a little confused by your message. Could you please clarify this, or is this written somewhere in the rules that I may have missed reading? Thank you! JM

Hi Denise, I'll definitely plan on looking for you at the show, and you can look for my black '35 fordor sedan, that's pictured above, if I don't find you first. JM

Thanks for posting a photo of your car so I know what to look for. I'd do the same if I had a FORD. For now I guess my avatar will have to do. I don't think you'll have any trouble finding Big Olds and I shouldn't have any trouble finding yours.

What is your first name?

If you're bringing a stocker, you can't park in the infield. Unless it changed from previous years, stocks & street rods park outside by the stream and traditional hot rods park in the infield. Maybe Scary Larry can clarify.

Hey Denise, There is nothing wrong with your car! My first name is John. Here's another picture of my car and me. However, I will probably look just like hunderds of other old grey beards running around there JM

Yeah, I know, I just don't want to get anyone's panties in a wad by posting photos of it.

Except you're tattoo-less so you'll be easy to spot.

You fellas wanna have a small little meet and greet at the little white tower at say 3pm? That will give Tom from Fredrick time to get there with Bill.

I wish I could go but it's graduation weekend here @ William and Mary and I work for the college - geesh, I've got to get out of this "work" habit so I can run around with all the rest of the greybeards!!! - LOL!!
