Default 32 Front glass channel HELP!

On my 32 Tudor sedan, I discovered a piece missing that is critical to the front door glass install.

It is a sheet metal U-shaped channel that surrounds and supports the large front felt that the glass rides in. It is approximately 18 x 1 x 1/2", and attaches to two brackets inside the door front. It is dimensionally larger than the rear channel. I can't get the existing one out to measure accurately.

Is this reproduced, or will I have to fabricate it? Neither UP nor Drake show it.

Thanks in advance! I'm up against a wall with this aggravating glass

I've built 6 deuce sedans and 20 years ago I was faced with the same problem. I ended up fabricating that channel. Making the channel was easy but installing it was another story.

Update: problem solved!

I made up a channel from two 90* "L's" plug welded together as I couldn't bend the shallow U shape in my brake. Made the little tabs on the ends to locate them.

The factory support brackets were still there, just needed to grind off the broken spot welds.
Riveted the channel on and it worked!

Necessity is the mother of invention.

BTW, Krylone2 was right, it was a bugger to install. Barely room for your hand !!
Apparently, all this was factory installed before the door was skinned.
