Looking somewhat "non original" (!) my 32 cabriolet in the post war years in the hands of the original owner,Mr Gwylim Rice-Evans.

Clearly, practicality overruled originality !

Taken early 1930's on a summer's day. My uncle Walt (looking out the passenger side window) bought this 29 special coupe new. This is three brothers and three sisters. My dad is standing by the front fender with my uncle Fritz behind. The ladies are the three Gutchow sisters. Violet (sitting on the front fender next to that tragic dent) married uncle Walt. Lucille (resting on the gas tank) was instrumental in getting my mom and dad together. Without Lucille, I wound not exist.
My favorite family photo. Yes, our Model A's were a huge part of history.

I don't know. Answer is lost to time. I would assume it rang whenever the car moved, like a street car?
Another thing, I see another partial view of a Model A in the background. Don't know anything about that, either.

I'm wondering how does the steering work on that bus in post #28. Must be an interesting set-up.

Not sure on the steering mechanism, but I was told they had one extra front end unit they could switch out if one needed repair
