Do you mean Cam? Cam is a mongrel of many owners and many adventures, just like old classic cars.

My Father told me that "A measure of a company is not what they do when things go well, but how they handle things when they go bad".

I am new to the site but not the hobby. I basically told them that shipping was excessively high and slow and the telephone staff are arrogant. I will only use as an absolute last resort !

If the new owners of Macs want to compete for anyone's business then they will have to work for it. And the survey seems to be a step towards improving.
How did Franchse 24 get mentioned on this??????

Thumbs up Re: Mac's survey

I am in Melbourne Australia and have dealt with several stores in the U.S. similar to Macs, and i have found Macs to be the most helpful and the friendliest to deal with, After experiencing issues with other stores, i will now only deal with Macs, Whenever i contact them i seem to deal with Ms Sam C, She is always extremely friendly and helpful and i have never had one bad dealing, I hope my service stays as good as it is now !!!

Regards, larry

Really glad to read about some positive experiences. It is so often the case in life that we only hear about the bad in something and not the good. I'm sure ( or at least hope) that for every unsatisfied customer that Macs has, they have two or more happy ones. And judging from the comments from Ekler's CEO Mr Jordan and the helpful Ms Sam, they intend to create more happy experiences.
"Personally I wish there were more businesses like Macs and all the other venders who sell Model A parts in every Continent, County, State, City, Town and Niehgborhood. Let them sell coffee and donuts too and the world would be a better place."

Glad to see the reply back from Ecklers. Mac's used to be fine, it was the past year or so that something changed and the shipping went up but got slower. Hopefully they can right the ship.

In the Netherlands you can buy Model A parts through Adams Classic Cars (www.Adamscc.nl). We are a dealer for Macs (as well as Snyders, Vintique and others).

As for the service of Mac's, we have no complaints. As stated before in this thread, things can go wrong, but it's usually about how issues are resolved. I sure have had issues with Mac's in the past but Mac's have always come through solving the problems.
Of course this may be the wholesale side of Macs, but that's the only side I know.

I just ordered a head gasket from Mac's and expected a week and a half delivery as usual. To my surprise it came in two days. The shipping was $10s, but I don't think you can ship for less these days. JB

Their shipping prices and policy are ridiculous in this day and age.

Any shipping internationally from the US is expensive for us outsiders - What Mac's charges seems reasonable to me, compared to other places I purchased from in the US. If I could get parts from the UK at reasonable prices, I would as the international shipping is often about half.

I source VW parts from the UK and Europe for this reason.
