What kind of grease?
What kind of grease do ya'll use? What's the difference between lithium, marine, and others? What kind should be used on Model A? How bout water pumps, any difference in grease?

I'm a Mobil 1 grease kind of guy. I worked 31 years for ExxonMobil before retiring last year. Any grease would do really.

it is important not to mix incompatible greases. See chart link.
I use lithium complex grease because its the most commonly available and is compatible with many others. I like Mystic or sta-lube red greases because I can see the color change when the old grease has been flushed out of bearings or shackles. http://www.mindconnection.com/librar...easecompat.htm. I have bought the "Ford Country" water pump grease from Model A suppliers. They say it is also good for everything else as well. I also noticed after I got it that it was just re-labeled generic grease one could buy just about anyplace, at a whole lot cheaper price -- locally.
