Default jump/kick in reverse

For a while, when I begin to start my '33 moving in reverse, it can "kick" and jump similarly to what many cars can do when there are clutch problems. However, I don't feel any other indication of clutch issues.

I have a vague memory that this situation can be caused by loose or miss-adjusted radius rods causing the rear axle to jerk.

Is this a problem anyone has had experience with?

Thanks

tighten the motor mount bolts and inspect the rubber on the rear trans mount, look for loose spring shackles, loose bolts in the radius rods

Had the same problem with my 51. Turned out to be engine mounts.

Someone posted on this sometime back. The opinion was that when you have "kick and jump" in reverse, it probably is bad transmission mounts.
If you have "kick and jump" starting out in first gear, the problem is bad motor mounts. If you find that the transmission mounts are loose or bad, replace them. If it were mine, I'd replace transmission mounts and motor mounts.
