Doug Tutill
I read today that Doug Tutill passed away.
He was a tower of strength in the Early Ford V8 club in New Zealand during it's formative and later years. A good man taken too soon. |

Re: Doug Tutill
Sorry to hear this news. I never met the gentleman, however, have seen several of his outstanding cars over the years.

Re: Doug Tutill
I have a 39 standard coupe un restored that he owned for many years 30 approx.
I called him a couple of years ago when tracking down a 38 barrel nose. He informed me that the 39 coupe was his daughters wedding car. And dad why did you ever sell that car! I told him it was getting lots of use and attention and sent him some current pics. Sad to hear of his passsing. Phil NZ |

Re: Doug Tutill
I bought that 39 standard coupe from Doug.
Told myself I'd never sell it. Drove it locally around town for about a year. Replaced the deluxe bumpers, over-riders and hubcaps with the correct originals. A mate made me an offer I couldn't refuse at the time. Said he'd never sell it. And so it goes on. Finally got another 39 standard coupe from Minnesota that had been last on the road in 1967. Had it painted back to it's original Jefferson Blue. Been sitting in my garage for over 10 years now. |
