Default pickup rear window

31 pickup..... does the rear window on the 30/31 pickup use a gasket or seal of some kind. i got a new frame from mikes and will be ordering the glass soon. i can't see any listed in the catalog, but surely there should be one.

The recommended super glue trick works well...im not 110% sure about the pickups but on the Tudors the seam meets on the top center

The rubber gasket comes as a six foot piece. You stretch it tight around the glass and then cut it to size. Remove the rubber and super glue the ends. Let it cure for 24 hours or more and put back on the glass.
You can position the joint any where you desire.
The hard part is getting the washer and nut on the 18 screws behind the frame. I finally bent a 3/8" open end wrench to almost ninety degrees and then super glued a thin magnet to back of the open end. That held the nut and washer on the back side of the frame while I started the screw. A little sticky on the washer helps hold it against the nut

If they were, pointing down would make sense for water leaks

Mines bottom center. It's going to stay that way cause no one can see it and it's an eight hour job removing and reinstalling those screws.
Not into judging.
