Default 1935 Roadster upholstery question

My car needs a top and I am working on fixing the bows and the attachment points that are all rather worn out. Can anyone show me or explain. What makes up the vertical flange around the back corners of the interior opening. Mine is covered in material so I cant really tell whats in there.
Thanks for any help.
Zach

Steel. There is a lip that goes all the way around and attached to that is a metal channel like tack strip with stiff material crimped in.PM me with your contact phone # and I will call you.Easier to explain than type for me.I have ah a 34 and 35 roadsters with issues there and solved them.Sheldon
