Trunk identity
Thanks for all help. I read the forum a lot,but this is my first post.I bought this trunk at a recent auction. The size is 29 inches long,14 inches deep, and 18 inches high. This does not fit in my carrier.I will probably modify my carrier to accept this trunk but was wondering if was for some other Ford.

Re: Trunk identity
Ford Motor Company did not make any trunks. They were all aftermarket. The trunk you have was probably built for a different automobile.

Re: Trunk identity
Looks like the modern trunk you get from the vendors. Or it is home made.

Re: Trunk identity
It looks like a trunk that was made to fit on the older carrier that folds in the middle when it's up. I don't know how wide those carriers were, but the current ones will accept a trunk 34" wide.

Re: Trunk identity
This is the rack that DennisKliesen was referring to. I couldn't get it to act like a direct link so you may have to copy and paste the URL. The dimensions are Size 16" X 33"

If it were mine, I'd use it. Rather then modify the rack, I'd use filler wood on the bottom of the trunk. JMO. Good Luck! Please post a pic when you have it installed. Jeff
