Default FL&WVMIKE (Mike Burch)

I'm sorry, but this is Mike's son, Michael. He passed away last week. We will be having a gathering at a clubhouse where his girlfriend Joan lives in Ormand Beach next Sunday.

If any of his friends, or anyone in the local V8 club are interested in attending, or want more information, you can contact me at..

[email protected]

My brother and I are in Daytona for the next week, and are staying at a
his house.

Thanks, and I appreciate everyone here on the forum.

Michael

I am so sorry to hear that. My prayers and condolences to all the family. I had quite a few meetings with Mike both at car shows and his home and he was always very gracious and helpful. I am sure he will do well in the future at his new home.

Mike was always ready and willing to help out others, right up to the end as he very recently provided me with much-appreciated assistance regarding some details of his amazingly original '34 phaeton. A good man; may he rest in peace.

Micheal and family - Our hearts are broken to hear this news: you can be proud that your Dad was a true friend to anyone who needed his help and willingly gave of his time and talent. We visited a number of times, talked incessantly about past races on the beach, and he was always so gracious to share....... We had no idea he was failing, but I can assure you that he is piloting a Phaeton thru the streets of Heaven, top down! Cherish his memories; I know that we shall. May God grant you all His eternal peace, love and understanding.
In His Firm Grip, Marcus and Margretha

While we have never met, Mike and I have been corresponding with each other for over 40 years. We started communicating when Mike was living in Spencer, West Virginia. Mike a dear friend of mine. I was shocked when I just read of his passing. Mike was a wealth of information and is going to be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family at this difficult time as they come to terms with Mikes passing.

Mike was the proud custodian of these two original unrestored beauties, a 1934 Ford Deluxe V8 Phaeton and a 1935 Ford Deluxe Cabriolet. The 35 Cabriolet was featured in a recent issue of Hemmings Classic Car Magazine.
Mike, you leave a big hole for the Early Ford V8 movement to fill.

Like so many, I had met Mike here on the Ford Barn. Just one year ago I decided to join the Daytona Birthplace of Speed V-8 club. Mike met me and brought me to the meeting and introduced me to everyone making me feel very comfortable.

He was a true gentleman and will be missed by so many.

May he rest in peace.

This is definitely sad news. I have enjoyed Mikes posts here on Fordbarn for many years and all our personal messages back and forth as well. Had the privilege of meeting Mike in person at one of Vic Piano's gatherings in Tampa. He had a love and passion for these early Ford V-8's. Rest in peace Mike, you will be greatly missed.

We're probably going to be selling the cars, as my brother has no interest, and there aren't very many people where I live in WV to "play with" when it comes to these vehicles. LOTS of good memories, though. Just took the '34 out for a ride yesterday. If anyone is seriously interested in this or the '35 Cabriolet, let me know.
