Default Original Fomoco shocks

1950 Ford original shocks. Are they valuable to anybody. I was going to throw them away. Should I save them or sell them? I have two of them. Each one has a broken stud too.

You can still buy 50 Ford shocks so those are worthless, I think.

Maybe, if the studs weren't broken, but the way they are, I have to agree with "19Fordy".

Just making sure before I put them in the trash. Thanks.

Where can I buy original 1952 shocks for my Ford F1 pickup? Does anyone know? You said you can buy shocks?

I saved the original shocks from my 52 F3. No leaks and seem to dampen just fine. The rubber bushings are about gone. I can't bring myself to throw them out in case someone doing an "original" restoration needs them.

I like to use the Chevy mid 70 thru 90 shocks, they come in several sizes and the mid size cars have a 70/30 valving. makes a nice ride. Unfortunately they only have a stud on top, so you might have to make up a new bracjet.

Try Napa Auto Parts. take in one of your old shocks and they can probably match it up. Also try those vendors who sell F-1 and F-100 parts.

Napa carries shocks for the 48-52 F1. They are blue and not black like the originals.

Hi; I once found FORD 'script' shocks on a '48 f-1. Used them as a Dearborn build " As it left the factory" type thing. newc
