Default 1934 amp gauge 20 amp vs 30 amp?

Would someone tell us why the 34 amp gauge is seen in both 20 amp and 30 amp versions?

Hi; I understand there is a difference between stand and deluxe. Also Radio equiped cars. Early Ford V8 Club has excellent 33/34 books. Newc

I believe it is just on radio equipped cars. I have seen plenty of deluxe cars with 20 amp units and relatively few 30 amp ones at swap meets, most you see are 20s.
