Default Steering service bulletin

Hello,
this may sound silly but I have a 1939 Plymouth pickup truck model PT81. It used a Gemmer 2 tooth steering box similar to the Model A ford. I had an A and recognized this box. On another site it stated there was a Ford Service Bulletin on how to adjust this box. Can someone direct me to a link or a place where I can get these instructions. The ones in the Plymouth service manual have very little in the adjustment procedure.
The only difference I see between the two are the sector shaft on mine is splined and 1.250" in diameter. Also the chassis mounting is with 4 bolts rather than two.

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

Any of the 'A' vendors like Bratton's, Snyder's, Mac's, etc. should have them.

If you go to the Old Car Manual Project and dig around, you will find the 1932 bulletin set. 1932 steering is all new parts, but is conceptually the same Gemmer as late Model A and the adjustment procedures are the same.

wings515, This is a Model A Ford website, but I like all old cars and helping people with them. Your '39 ply has a gemmer 2 steering box, these instructions should help you. I had a '39 Plymouth road king years ago.

Gemmer 2 with roller makes a lot more sense for 1939...
This link: http://www.vanpeltsales.com/FH_web/f...tmt1937-48.htm covers adjustments for the basic type and has some more illustrations.
