Default Budd Wheel Manufacturing Company

How much is correct:
Budd made the all-steel cab available August '31.
It's idenity is the sun visor is stamped with the steel top, not bolt-on.
The late '31: Has indented firewall/tear-drop fuel shut off in engine compartment, an eleven gallon fuel tank. It's a Blast to drive.

Where can I find the number of Budd Cab PicUp's that were manufactured?
I understand about 156,000 picup's, in '31, were built -- but just the Budd Cab numbers
Thanks

Not all Budd Cab pickups had the indented firewall. Not all indented firewalls were on Budd Cabs. Add to that mix the Wide Bed vs Short Beds that were installed on some of both Budd Cabs & the soft top cabs, and you have quite a variety of configurations.

1931 Closed Cab pickups could be either:
Steel top or Soft top
Flat firewall or Indented firewall
Short bed or Wide bed

Any combination of the above.

My 31 CCPU, Wide Bed, Soft Top, Flat Fire Wall, Oval Speedometer
I understand that trucks could have been put together with leftover parts or I might have a Frankentruck.

At a minimum, the gas tank has been changed out sometime in it's life. The oval speedometer was only used up thru mid 1930.

Ford manufactured at the Rouge and delivered to assembly plants around the country. .assembly plant managers were given the lee way to use parts from stock to meet demand..folks have jumped all over that to explain their 'unique one of a kind car'...when 90% of the time it was some garage hack over the years..

Thanks everyone for your input. I asked because a new club member is having his Budd covered over with artificial leather. It's hard to keep my mouth shut, but, it is his PicUp.
