Roadster seatback
Working on a 30/31 roadster seating. I have some new seat springs and the seat wood frame, but not sure I know how the seat springs attach to the frame. I found this picture which helps me some but still don't know how to attach springs. In checking vendor catalogs I don't see any specific clips listed to do this job. Any help?

Re: Roadster seatback
On my original 1930 roadster seatback the spring was attached to the wood frame with straps cut from closed car top material doubled and tacked to the wood frame. I think there were 4 such straps.

There is video from LeBaron Bonney on YouTube where they use that technique to secure the spring to the wood frame using scrap material. Does anyone have a pattern or demensions for the wood frame? |

Re: Roadster seatback
It was my understanding that the bottom of the seat back spring rested in three clips, one at each vertical wood member and that the top of the spring was secured with straps (see photo)
