Re: Tank sealer
Just what would seal it inside or weld it on the outside.

Re: Tank sealer
What caused it? Puncture? Rust?
We speaking of a nylon type tank ? U say weld...steel? Replace it....nothing will work well Likely new replacement tank not available? |

Re: Tank sealer
Order a new one, or try the 2 part epoxy.

Re: Tank sealer
If it is plastic you cam melt it with a soldering iron and build up the hole just like you would welding up a hole.

Re: Tank sealer
Tried all of these solutions nothing works, you’ll end up getting a new tank or sorry to say scrap it.

Re: Tank sealer
If the tank has deteriorated from the use of gasohol you'll have to replace it w/a new gasohol resistant tank.

Re: Tank sealer
I've heard good things about this product.
Not cheap, that's for sure. I have not used it. Good luck. https://www.ebay.com/itm/CASWELL-EPO...53.m1438.l2649 .

Re: Tank sealer
There is no replacement available from what I can find out. When I said weld, there is such a thing as plastic welding now that is done on newer cars. For instance the bumper. I don’t know what caused it. Seems to have just started. It is inside a metal cover and there is now way something could have punctured it. It may be a nylon tank, to Métis plastic. Any ideas

Re: Tank sealer
Ronn the gas tank is on a Poulan micro xxv. Been a very good little saw . And has plenty of power now for its small size.

Re: Tank sealer
dbaldwi3 that’s what I’m afraid of, having to scrap it. Runs good for its size and age. I’ve had it a really long time. I’m the first owner.

Re: Tank sealer
1930-Pickup, thanks for the link. $52. dollars is sizeable but it’s my choice. I just hate to give up using it when it runs so good. Looked on eBay, no luck. ronn said he might have one, hope so. Thanks for all responses.

Re: Tank sealer
If you do use that tank sealer, please let us know the results. I was thinking of using it as a fuel resistant connection sealer.
