Default Flathead Intake manifold guru's

Okay
SO, I have understood the following on the first 4 pictures of intakes

picture 1 & 2 I understood the left intake to be 1934 with the diamond opening for the fuel pump stand. The right intake looks just like the 34 BUT is an "early" 35 intake because of the "round" opening for the fuel pump stand.

Picture 3 is mid/late 1935

Picture 4 is 1936

Is that correct??? NEXT.....

Picture 5 is of a mid/late 1935, correct??? BUT picture 6 shows a 34 part number and being a mid/late 35 "style" has the 34 diamond opening and part #. Would this be a "service" replacement part???

I am only familiar with the regular 'camel back' style 34 manifold. However, as there are the two versions of 35 manifolds, this one has a B2 suffix, maybe an alternative style available in 34.

There is a lot of cross over of parts. Truck motors for example received in production parts or previous year left overs vs new model cars that received the newest. 36-39 truck used car headlights only used for cars one yr in 36.

Guess I'm asking what are you asking? Parts get switched over time by people or factory rollouts. they are not indefinitely clear by yr.

I'd say the diamond shapes are early intakes. the rest are later.

Great thing about this place some one will know. Well I hope so or we will be talking about Tonneau covers.

The last intake is late 34 production not a service replacement. you have the others correct.

I used the old Camel back for the stock car. Track rules said I had to use a stock intake, Boring out the early intake to recieve a sleeve that fir a2GC, These intakes have allot of material for this modification.. The next intake was another Cammel back that i machined ithe interior out of and replaced it with a fiber glass open plemn. This improved the performance of the top end. Modifying the engine took about 8 years of learning, and the only ting that stayed the same was the displacement of 258 ci. That's why it's My favorite engine.
