Re: needed 6 volt battery charger
Check out the chargers at "no.co". Four letters with a dot in the middle. Also available on amazon. I have two for maintainers, but also charge with them.

No Co seems expensive. Check out Battery Tenders on E Bay.

Re: needed 6 volt battery charger
Frank, I bought this one several years ago it does 6 and 12V. Battery extender SC4 model BE01250.
Has a rate selector 3A maintainer or 15A rapid charge, battery type standard, AGM or gel. If your not paying attention it even has a revered clamp indicator. I think I bought it @ O'Reilly auto. |

Re: needed 6 volt battery charger
Wal-Mart has a good charger. 6 and 12 volt with a battery maintainer and will charge Optimo batteries, Was originally a Shumacher brand but now has a Wal-mart label.

Re: needed 6 volt battery charger
Get a Schumacher charger for basic all around charging. They are cheap. Good charger. If lucky they can be found at a garage sale or auction.
optima's need to be charged not tendered other then running (gen). Charge them twice a yr, 10-14 yrs, 2 batteries. Great battery. A optima rep has been on there and has said treat it like a battery. It does not not to be tended. Last edited by Tinker; 08-12-2019 at 02:06 AM. |

Re: needed 6 volt battery charger
Save a battery charger maintainer. Really good unit. not only charges but maintains. Also this unit can bring batteries back from the dead by cleaning the plates. Can be got in 6v 12 v and 24. I've got a 6 and also a 12v and use them all the time
US unit too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1MCYd0Ket0 GB

Re: needed 6 volt battery charger
We use the "Battery Tender" that is adjustable for 6 or 12 volts as a maintenance charger. They are readily available. We use them for both conventional lead-acid batters, and for the Optima, as well.

analyzers. Schumacher for regular chargers. I have both Noco Genius and Battery Tender Jr for maintainers. I'm doing a "trial" on those two to see which one is better on Optimas right now. |

Re: needed 6 volt battery charger
HF has a small unit that does 6 and 12 and AGM, GEL, and STD.
It was less than 25 with a coupon. Works great. |

Re: needed 6 volt battery charger
search on 6/12 volt on google, they are out there. Try Tractor Supply. I have a 6volt battery tender and a 6/12 craftsman that I bought when sears was still going.

post 13 on the thread. I'm sure if you have questions they can be asked directly by pm, concerning the optima battery. Great battery in my thinking. |
