Do these work together??
First the question.
Can you safely run Mercury EAC heads on a 24 stud Ford 59 block? I have a motor that I purchased and ran in my car for a couple of years that is exactly that configuration. I was recently told that there is a water hole in the 59 block that does not line up with any water hole on the EAC heads and that this could create a loss of water. I have not experienced this, but am now wondering if it could potentially create another issue related to cooling that I should be aware of. Any wisdom appreciated. |

Re: Do these work together??
There is a hole in the front of each head that connects to the water pump by-pass hole in the 8BA block. The hole has to be blocked when the 8BA style head is put on the 59 style block.

Re: Do these work together??
Yes, they'll work, but they are low compression. EAC heads would be much better.
