Its true, I've got acres of space and could start my own junkyard. But I hate to leave the good stuff outdoors and indoor parking is becoming really tight here. Yes, that Merc at the auction looks to have better sheet metal than the one I'm driving currently.
As far as trailering it myself, I don't own a trailer and not sure any of my vehicles are up to such a task either.
Still , I have to admit that I have no regrets about the 53 I bought online last winter.

Funny how all three mercs have the rear passenger side bumpers rusted in the same area

if you had 4, you could park one on each side of the house, so every time you look out the window, you would see a merc

Well I just watched the Merc sell at the auction for $500. Not to me. I was having trouble navigating the auction site, then lost audio, then lost my way to enter the auction so I hope it went to a good home. At least at that price I don't think it went for scrap iron.

Yes, right side is the exhaust outlet on the 52-53 Mercs and they are subject to damage to the chrome for that reason. Both mine have it.

It is. On Fords (same chassis) with a six, the exhaust was on the left.

Looks like a lotta good parts there Ralph. May even be a fixer upper. Might be worth it!

If i would have asked myself do i really need another...my wife would be much happier...yard less junky...
May have to rethink my aproach on having stuff speak to me and follow me home...
When a 8ton flatheadpowered Clark airplane pusher follows you home it´s bad...lol
