Blackwalls on black wheels on a model A, whitewalls look too fancy.

Can't stand white walls.

Since it's a personal preference issue I will weigh in too. I'm a black on black fan but I especially dislike white wall's with light colored wheels.

Louis, I put 35 ford wire wheels on it yes I know but they are black wheels and blackwalls. It had original black 21 inch wheels and blackwalls when I bought it but they looked to skinny to me. Just saying, blackwalls look more original to me.

This is how my coupe looked before I swapped out to 35 wires. Black on black.

The two cars on the front and back covers of the latest MARC News ought to be a testimony to "less is more"... no quails, whitewalls or cowl lights and both cars are handsome examples of the real Model A Ford. I want to send a personal "Thank You" to all those who have opted not to have options...

How I solved the problem. Now it depends on wether Im going to an "A" model show, or a sat. night drive thru.
Sorry about the fuzzy pic's.
Nice to see you know your audience. Unfortunately, that's a lot of tire changing to regularly please changing audiences. I say put black on one side of the car, white on the other. Then by changing drive-by direction you can please everybody?

Your car looks better to me with the 16's, reminds me of the Model A RR station cars of the 1960's. How about posting a large version of your avatar. Bob

On my 31 roadster, I have yellow wheels and 6.50-16 wide whites.
On my 30 coupe, I have blackwalls on cream 19" wheels.
I wouldn't change either of them.

BLACK TIRES!!!! this is non-negotiable

wheel color is optional but no A looks bad with black wheels.

I am in the process of getting a law pass'ed here in GA.:

Where as:.. after april 1st. 2012 [april fool's day] Any model "A" ford [28-31] that is seen with B/W tires "will be impounded" and the owner will have 14 days to get W/W tire's, or the car will be crushed.
I think it has a good chance of passing.

Most of mine have blackwalls and red wheels. I think that black tires and black wheels make any model a look more original. I got a good deal on a new set of Allstate white walls that a guy had in a closet for a few years. I think that white walls with red wheels look good. I really prefer them on V8 cars. Here is my 31 standard tudor with the Allstate white walls.

What a great color combo The red wheels and W/W tires really set it off.
act. I like the black or white wall's, But I've had B/W firestone's on it for three years now and just wanted a change, I've had more good comments sence I put the W/W's on, But they were from people who just like old cars, not model "A" club type's.
Now that im retired I have plenty of time to swap them back and forth for an "A" model show or just a sat. drive thru.

Purdy Swoft, You seem to have some great looking "A" models, How many do you have, How bout some more pic's ?

Hey he coulda chopped the top stuffed a 350 in it, threw away the fenders and put some real meat hooks on it. Nope he put some w/w on her to add a little PIZAZZ to his car. I say enjoy it and the rest of the world be darned. I like them either way.

There's already a "Federal" law (U.S Dept of Transportation) that will hold-up highway funding for any state that passes such a law.

They will also stop Social Security payments for anyone displaying white-walls on a Model A Ford.

This really is one of those "tastes great!"/"less filling"! topics.
Personal choice is what makes the country we get to drive these beautiful cars in so great.
For me W/W's work on some sedans. Nice car none-the-less.
