Default 31 Victoria Vacuum Line

The previous owner of this car did not hook up the vacuum line. The fitting on the firewall has been installed and looks fine. At the intake manifold there is a 1/8 in. pipe threaded plug. After removing this pipe plug, you are inside a wide open manifold casting. I don't see how the seal is made on the steel vacuum line. Also, the brass fitting on the vacuum line that came from Synders is too small for the opening in the intake manifold. It would seem that I need a brass fitting of some sort that will replace the 1/8 in. brass pipe plug going into the manifold and that has an input connection that will receive the fitting on the vacuum line. What would I call this adapter? Thanks for your help, Ed

My vacuum line problem with my 1931 A400 is the inside connection at the firewall.
The very stiff steel line cannot be repositioned to mate with the brass feedthrough on the firewall.
Is there a clip somewhere restraining this steel line ?

I think you will find that there are 3 brackets holding this line. One on a terminal box screw and 2 on the left cowl

on the Victoria`s A400`s and most all slant window bodies the Vacuum line hooks a bulkhead fitting in the the firewall. and runs up under the molding on the right hand windshield post.
