Thanks for asking. My truck has a three inch chop ,custom van roof bed cover, hidden door hinges ,louvers in the hood , I could go on and on with all the little body mods I've done. I didn't want to take to much away from the original body .It sits on a ranger frame ( I will never do that again it was a money thing at the time ) I'm running a 350/350 combo shhhhh don't tell anyone.Keep up the good work Mrfiboy.

While stripping, sanding the cab, I noticed this seal ? appear. Too cool

Some rear cab corner repairs.

Finally metal work done.

Shot some sealer on the inside.

Spent a week now on the cab body, getting ready for primer.

I got my booth dialed in for final paint.

Don't expect the whole truck to be like this LOL

Plain old gray works for the wife and I. Took us over a month and 2 other sample colors to decide.

wet sanding the cab Oh Boy!!!! Hats off to painters and bodymen, never would I have the patience for this.

Jambs firewall, first, did not have the guts to try and spray the whole thing in one shot.

Glad I did the job in 2 parts, 46 oz of paint total, 2 coats.

Got the cab outside, nice to have space again in my garage.

Hopefully get the other pcs all painted up in the next week or 2.

Next project the hood.

I had already soaked all the bolts, etc. in PB Blaster awhile back so after my friendly tap with a hammer, all came out well except for one.

Started by wire brushing the inside first, followed by a thorough cleaning and a couple coats 2K epoxy sealer.

Top of the hood got my favorite stripper applied (Citristripper) and than most paint scrapped off with a plastic squeegee. Thoroughly washed and a little metal repair, hammered out a couple minor dents and thoroughly cleaned again.

2 coats high build primer followed by a 400 wet sand job. Finally 3 coats PPG DelFleet Essentials Gray single stage polyurethane enamel.

Another weekend down.

Over on the hamb, they have a thread on photoshopping. "the moose" was kind enough to add wide whites and black accents to my stolen pic of a gray 1940 truck.

The wife was really wanting black running boards, pin stripe, and grill. I was not totally convinced. But as always she was right.

Along with smoked glass side/back glass I believe it'll be just fine.

Personally, I like the white walls with grey painted running boards and chrome grill.
