Well, this old girl emerged from the depths yesterday.... I'm still not sure if it will become top priority or not... but it's currently sitting in the work area.

I'm hunting any inside spare tire parts from 37-39's and any seat mounting parts. These may be the same as other years also.

Rear is not bolted in and no engine or trans... so its sitting up a bit high.

I'm currently having seat brackets made for 35-36 sedan delivery, not sure if they are the same? I'd give you the part number but the tag is with the original at my fabricators shop!

I too have to commend you for the work you've done and for keeping it real. What a great find!

Thanks Rockfla, I believe they may be slightly taller....

I keep debating about just making some myself also... I have the originals from the drivers seat but not in the greatest condition.

The pass seat should be different I believe?

I'm sure you've all been on the edge of your seat for years waiting for an update.... well I'm happy to say that this old girl has finally been brought back to life and made its first trip on the road in 75 years, a few days ago.

I still have a long list of things to get done on it but as I've mentioned over the years, I'm shooting to drive it to Hershey. If all goes well it seems like this might actually be the year for it!!

I now have 2-year-old twins, a new 147-year-old house and barn and a few extra acres to maintain. I just made up my mind in the past few months that it was time that this delivery got the attention it has deserved for years. I put a 59AB engine in it temporarily but I have some other plans with some interesting parts that hopefully can all work out over the winter. I've stuck with the plan to not use anything on it that couldn't have been found in 1948 or earlier which is the last that this was driven.

Anyways, just figured I'd post an update.
Thanks
Zach

if you do make it to Hershey, please send a note as to where you are parked (or plan to be). Hershey is big enough to miss things and it would be fun to see your car.

Nice to see the progress on the '39, you're doing a great job. I wish I had the time to work on my #2 '42 SD, I hope to do a similar freshen-up to yours but time and other projects keep getting in the way . Great work, keep the pictures coming.
