Tinker, thanks for the heads up. I'm going to head to the Depot and see what I can come up with. I'll have to take a better look at my seat to see exactly what I am missing. You all are a big help, thank you.

Oh Geez, I don't want to be the guy that suggested home depot fasteners over possible better quality ford fastener suppliers.
Good luck and give an update to how it turned out! |

The fastener in second photo looks like the insert that would be installed in the soul of a cork logging boot. My grandfather was a cobbler and I spent many summers helping him repair boots. He had jars full of those fasteners they had barbs on them that pressed into the leather much the same as they could into wood. Check with your local shoe repair shop they may have them.

I am jumping in late. I am doing an original seat in a '35 three window coupe. What are the hinges for on the top of the seat back? Thanks.

jk: The 36 seat back hinged and could elevate to open the rear of the seat area for storage. There was a latch similar to the deck lid on trunk models that held the backrest open. 35 did not hinge, the backrest was fixed. During 35 there was a change to the seat and the backrest became shorter. About 4" shorter than the mid and early 35 seat.
