Default 36 pickup dash light switch

I took my 36 pickup apart over 8 years ago. Original type wiring, gauges ect. I see on one of the wiring diagrams it shows a dash light switch. I don't remember seeing one or removing one. Did 36 pickups have one, and if so could someone enlighten me, where it is and what it looks like? Thanks Ron P.S. it's finally starting to come together.

No dash light switch in my original 36 pickup.

Hi yes they do have a dash light switch. It mounts on the lower edge of the dash. It is a small toggle type switch with a small round shaft. There should be a larger hole with 2 small holes each side for the mounting screws. & the toggle sticks out the bottom of the dash. Both my 36 picks had them.

For visualization this is what they look like and are reproduced and readily available.

Michael: The switch you allude to is not the correct 35-36 dash light switch The correct switch LEVER is one size from end to end. The swollen end or bulb end is not correct. The correct switch lever is about the size of the small straight portion of your swith lever but with no Bulb or swolen end. I can take a picture of the one on my 35 PU if you'd like to see what it looks like. I cannot post a picture on the Fordbarn no matter how hard I try. Maybe Don Rogers can chime in here with a correct picture. (FWIW it is the same switch that was used on the 34 passenger car.

Lawson for the exacting purist you are correct the switch offered is a reproduction of the 21C switch with the only real difference being the .030” larger handle.

Oops sorry Ron for the incorrect answer mine is not yet a runner just sitting as found very original solid & complete but obviously the dash light switch has been removed. Great to have learned this. My wiring is shot so I will have to ad switch on rewire.
Cheers
Tony
