Default Cleaning corrosion off of NOS radiator core

Okay, It's a chebby core, but it should be the same. I have a NOS 37-39 Chevy radiator core that has been in the original box all these years. I cut the box open and it is "white" with corrosion. It's pretty, but it ain't right. How is the best way to remove the corrosion ? Inquiring minds want to know. Thanks.

Rinse it off with a mixture of white vinegar and water. Followed with good water flush, then blow with air. Thats how i would tackle it.

I agree. I’ve used vinegar along with iodized salt to take chemical buildup off of brass and copper items over the years. Works good and its cheap.

Electrical contact cleaner is designed to remove oxide without hurting base material...
And there are sets with a cleaner/flush/corrosion protection.
Might cost a bit more then going for an acid...but should be safe..
