Default replacing window glass 37 Woodie

Right side front window broken. I have taken the broken glass out, and opened the wood paneling. It has the riser glued to the window. If this is how it was originally secured? How is the riser held to the new glass. Is it glued? I assume a good glass person will know but want to understand what was done originally. Thanks for any help. Pete

It was a press fit originally with a rubber channel along the lower edge of the glass, not glued.

Take a block of hardwood and place it against the widow track. Hot it with a hammer. It'll dislodge. Once it does, simply pull it away from the glass.
The new glass is set within "glass setting tape" and then pressed in to the track.
