Default The GAZ MM - a Model T guy's Model A

Stripped wartime production AA fitted with more powerful Dodge engine.

NO front brakes
NO bumpers
NO muffler
ONE headlight
CANVAS roof
CANVAS or WOODEN doors
SQUARE fenders (made by bending out low-grade roofing iron)

Remember, less can sometimes mean more.

I said above that these were fitted with Dodge engines...I take that back. I now believe the GAZ-MM still used the Soviet made Ford engine but with a higher engine compression for more power. In the USSR when a new engine came into production they often continued making the superseded engine for many years.

I assume the choke rod is threaded into a cable of some sort, for the Dodge engine?

Chuck, I was wrong about these having Dodge engines...they used a Soviet Made Ford B motor I now believe. Go to 8:35 of this video (in Russian) for view of engine:
