A minor point here on grammar. One would refer to an object as "that" and to a person as "who". I was always taught that to refer to a person as an object, something less than human, is disrespectful. I'm sure no disrespect is intended towards the men who served.
I will be at a car show at 11 am and will stand silent for a minute, regardless of what else is happening.

Happy Birthday USMC. I am one of those Jar Heads too. Headquarters Company, Force Troop, Fleet Marine Force, Pacific. January 1966 to January 1972. Photo of yours truly below. That is a 45 caliber grease gun with a double magazine. Wouldn't help a model A Ford at all as it would only drill holes in it.

"Veterans Day is not to be confused with Memorial Day, a U.S. public holiday in May; Veterans Day celebrates the service of all U.S. military veterans, while Memorial Day honors those who were killed while in military service. It is also not to be confused with Armed Forces Day, a minor U.S. remembrance that also occurs in May, which specifically honors those currently serving in the U.S. military."

Every Veteran's Day I write an individual e-mail to all my buddies, male and female, who have served our country. I thank them for their sacrifices and work that allow me to enjoy the freedoms outlined by our constitution.

To the men and women on this board who have served our country, I sincerely thank you.

When someone thanks me I never really know what to say back so I just say You are welcome, and TY. Not to make light of the situation and day, but Bill that engine is never gonna fit in your Model A no matter how big the shoe horn is.

I was with 173rd Assault Helicopter Co. I did airframe/powertrain on Hueys. I learned a few skills that help with the Model A. Thank you fellow vets.

Combat Infantry soldier Omaha Beach to Germany (29th Division). Then served in Air Corps in Army of Occupation for a year. I salute the many I fought beside who were KIA or have passed on in the years since the war. Also to all veterans for their service. I am writing this on Veteran's Day and I had a free lunch at a restaurant in White River Junction VT and 20% discount shopping at a clothing store in Lebanon NH just across the river. Thanks to my friend Joe who started this thread, we are both Cape Codders, but I am writing from Vermont where I happen to be today.
