New Zealand firestone tires
I saw some new Model A tires today that said "Made in New Zealand" on them. Hasen't it been many years since Firestones were made in New Zealand?

Re: New Zealand firestone tires
I believe at least 20 years since made here , Firestone had no licence to sell white walls here so all where exported to the states & then reimported apart from the ones we got out the back door , plus some had the whitewall paint black with instructions to mount that side in , Yeah right we soon learned how to take the black paint off,

Just sold 5 21" Firestone, New Zealand blackwalls. NO date code, but my Living Room smelled like a TIRE SHOP--LOL

Re: New Zealand firestone tires
I have four new Firestone white walls on my Tudor. Made in New Zealand. Came with the car still in the factory wrappers.

I think 1985 was the last year for New Zealand Firestones

Re: New Zealand firestone tires
My Tudor has five "Gum Dipped" New Zealand Firestone WW. They were put on the car in 1985. Each of the five tires loses one pound of air over the winter. They still have no cracks in them. If I could buy five more today I would.
