Default Top up or top down ??!!

I've always known/judged road speed by all the rattles, noises, vibrations.. This morning I put the top down for the first time in about 30yrs and was quite pleased how quiet, comfortable and faster the ole monster ran.. Kinda like riding a motorbike with or without a windscreen.. I think I'll the top down for awhile..

Yea, it's amazing how that wind, rustling around in your ears, will reduce the engine noise ! Try wearing thoses foam earplugs, on your bike or car, for a whole new riding, or driving experience. You'll still hear the noises and feel the vibrations, but you'll think that you are moving about 10 mph slower.

It's amazing the difference isn't it Patrick? It's a different world with the top down. I've left mine down since the parade on the fourth and I think I'll leave it that way for a while.

I just got back from a 80 mile trip to a club picnic, and had the top down on the roadster. I enjoy the quiet, and the breeze.

I like putting the windshield down, it's those June bugs that hit you at 40 MPH that realy hurt.

Ron, I guess I'm not quite sure.. But, on the car shown in your avatar maybe its best to leave the top up..

IF you put the top down, don't fail to slather the sun screen ointment on you and your copilot. And wear your jaunty roadster hat. They don't make patch panels to fix your old body -- if you get skin cancer.

I almost hate driving my roadster with the top "on", its so darn rattley and squeaky. Its an old hopped up car with a cut down windsheild and the top is made to snap onto the body or come off completely, not stock type...

I always think I might as well be driving a coupe if I'm going to run around with the top on.... then I get sunburnt or wet and start to think differently....
