Default Pays to look deep in box lots

Thought I would share a picture of why it is always good to look deep in the box lots of model A goodies. This was found in a box of misc. stuff bought for $8.00 on Ebay. Turned out to be N.O.S. has slight bends, but once installed, should look good.

Nice find. I usually dig deep at local farm auctions. I bought a NOS U-joint for $1.00, a set of .040 over Silvolite pitson along with several sets of NOS flathead pistons and other parts for $20.00. 3 NORS spindle bolt sets for $7.00 and the list goes on. At an auction 4 years ago I filled the back of my pickup up with NOS, NORS and other good parts for $85.00. You just have to keep your eyes open and remember there is still money to be made beyond just the part you want at a cheap price. Rod

should the post read "P" rather than "N"?

What's the measurement fron the center of the bolt hole to the center of the battery post hole? Thanks

Very nice find!

Tom,

Good eye on the n rather than p, you are correct. It measures 4 1/4" center to center, which is the correct length, i took it to the garage and it does fit the negative side and almost fits all the way on the positive. I believe this would not be correct for our model a's, although with a sharp knife the n could go away and a slight ream it would fit the correct battery post, still happy with my find.
