Default Fenders 1928-29

One of my friends keep claiming there is a difference between the fenders on Tudor 1928-1929. It should be from start 1927, to start in June 1928 .. He can not say what the difference is, I've never heard that there should be a difference, it would be nice if one is here to help ..?

Best regards

I think it is one of those things that as soon as you see them all you can tell the differences, but the jest is when you look at the front fenders back by the bottom of the hood, the '28 fronts are more rounded than the late '28-1929s which are more squared off looking. As for the rears, there was a couple of mid-year changes but the way I tell is look at the reinforcing plates where the fender is bolted to the running board. The early ones did not have a rib there. If I had a set of Stds here I could probably give you more info but this should get you started.

Just as a matter of interest, I have found several 28 Tudors (most common in my area) that have one of each style of fender on the car. The owners have never noticed this until it was pointed out to them. Look around, maybe you can find some too!

There are 3 styles of front fenders, not including the "welled" style.
The photo of Charles Reese's fenders look like the 2nd style,...
I have the same ones on my August 1928.
When I say 3 styles...there could be 1-2 more depending on the
shape at the very front of the fender.....clear as mud? Hope this
helps....

Let me back up some....Charles is hard to tell without paint...BUT
"Dave Mc" first photo is the 2nd style and his next photo is the
3rd style......okay?
