Default What carbs are these ?

Hey guys, I bought a old race car, and these carbs are on it.
They look like 94s to me, except they have a power valve on the outside, I took them apart to clean them, turns out they have a power valve on the inside and outside, and they are bigger than 94s ..

I think they are EC from about 1954. The first picture looks like the
ultra rare side draft version.

Little easier to see rotated. Interesting intake as well.

Holly carbs off a early Ford "Y" block??????

Intake looks like a Eddie Meyer's.

There are a bunch of variants of these carbs...the Model # is on driver's side of bowl, stuff like EC-6, and will ID the application. The outside valve is an extra kink in the vacuum system for the Holly distributor.

Holley 2100's or 2110's . Used on early "Y" blocks. Those aren't power valves. I believe they are called "Spark Control Valves". They look a lot like power valves, but are NOT interchangeable. If you took the carb apart, you'd find a regular power valve where it's supposed to be.

Hi Everyone. I'm not usually a lover of two-carb setups, but THAT rig is flathead porn IMHO!

look like EBU carbs off early Y blocks. like what was stated before the valve on the out side is some sort of spark control valve.

If your carbs have the larger throttle bores that match the gasket in your picture with the larger holes, then you have the 1956 pass car (272 Y-Block) ECG6 Holley model 2110 carbs. It's possible they are ECG5' also (for '55 model year 272 Y-Blocks). Both have the larger 1 1/16" venturi's too. Highest air flow carb of this style that was factory installed on Ford cars because of the larger than flathead engine.
