Default '29 blindback question

I have a '29 blindback (60-c) i am restoring. I am missing the door sill scuff panel on the driver side. It's the sheet metal that carries the bead under the doors from the cowl to the rear fender. I have had no luck finding one. The only one i can find new is for a '30-'31. It is a little longer than the '29's, but looks to have the same shape. Does anyone know if it will work if i cut the '30-'31 scuff panel down to the right length? Thanks...

They are listed on eBay every day, the 28-29 and 30-31 style. Welcome to the 60C group. Bob

It's not the sill plates i need. It is the sill panel... Sill plates go on the inside. There are 4. 2 in front and 2 in the rear. The sill panels are on the outside. There are 2. One on each side. When the door is closed, the panel forms the bead under the door, from the cowl to the rear fender. I can't find one anywhere.

The 60-C uses the same floor side sill panels as all the later bodies. Only the leather backs and Town Car use the other version.

Hey Willie, did you ever find the driver's side sill panel you were looking for? I too had been looking for a pair on eBay without any luck and so I recently resorted to making a pair in the Pullmax. If you are still needing one, since you are this close by, drop in for a couple hours and together we'll make up one for the side you are missing.
