Looking for a source for self adjuster rear brake kits for 1958 Ford passenger car. Can't find at local parts shops. Thank you in advance Bill

Don't think they came with self-adjusters new, but you can convert easily. Just get an adjuster kit for a later model that is the same drum diameter. Chilton's, Motor, etc. will have pictures of how it goes together. If your car still has original type shoes, you may need to get newer shoes from the model that has self-adjusters to get all the needed holes or drill any necessary holes in the shoes you have. Just look for the same width and diameter as your '58.

You may have to have the backing plates for the self-adjusters too. I tried to do this on my '58 Ranchero and the hole was not in the right place for the star-wheel adjusters, so I gave up.
