Default 66 T-Bird

I sold this car a few months ago and the new owner stopped by yesterday.
69K original mileage car, my dad bought it in the late 70s.
Was color code X maroon, looks good red, but I liked the maroon better.
He had the chrome redone also.
I hated to let it go, but I didn't have time for a new project and now it's making someone happy again, plus mom needs the cash. It had been basically sitting for 15 years...

Nice to see it went to a new home and preservation.

I let my 64 T-Bird go a few years back. They take more maintenance than some cars and I already had too many.

I hate to let an old car go that I've owned for many years. So, I can feel the pain. But, it went to a good home, someone who'll take car of it, so all's well.

Nice the new owner is taking care of it. If he had paint and chrome redone he must be happy with the car. Also I let a 64 go a long time ago, nothing since has ever went down the road as fine as that ride.

These are nice cars, especially with that Town Hardtop Roof.

Page from the original 1966 Ford Thunderbird Sales Brochure showing the two different Hardtop body styles available.
