My car runs best at 1/8 turn after warming up. When it's warmer out I open it 1/4 further open to start, when colder I open it 1/2 turn further open to start.

OH, on the GAV, with it closed, if it starts/warms up/runs OK, just forget it exists!

Renners Corner has most of the needed parts for the Marvel, Allstate and others (same basic design); the GAV needle gasket they supply is rubber-like and may make the adjustment tight. Not sure if leather was originally used ? Also, try to find a viton tip float needle for the ethanol gas as stated in other threads. The Grose jet style with metal ball may not seat properly.

Steiner Tractor has a viton tipped float valve that fits most Marvels.
