Chevy guys
Hi guys, I want to ask all of you a question on why are Chevy guys only into Chevys? I love all cars, I could appreciate any car and always have respected anyone that has asked me for help,I’ve always helped with care and with a good attitude, any way, I had a bad experience with my neighbor who is a Chevy guy only, I had asked him to help me put a window seal on my rear window of my 1948 ford f1 and boy I made the biggest mistake of my life, not only was he not careful with my truck but was poking my seal with a pick, holes everywhere, he also kept on talking on chevys are the best cars and fords are trash, I ignored him and kept on working, this man did not care for my bench seats, destroyed my leather, didn’t care to protect my paint and was the biggest trash talker, maybe it’s me but I would like to asked all of you, are all Chevys guys like this? I don’t want to bitch and cry but this made me mad, thanks Steven

Re: Chevy guys
It seems like the ford chevy thing has always been a rivalry. I kinda always considered myself a chevy guy, but I've always had an early ford or two along with my chevies and some mopars. As of right now the stable consists of two 32 fords, roadster and 2dr sedan, 72 cheyenne and a 62 corvette, love em all.

Re: Chevy guys
That may be true with the people you know, but there are a lot of people that appreciate all old cars and trucks (like me). I know a lot of people that only like Fords (because I worked at Roush). I've owned a lot of different makes such as Ford, Mercury, Dodge, Chevy and Rambler.
I will admit at the present time I do prefer 50's Fords as far as styling. Sal |

Re: Chevy guys
That guy is just a Richard. I like all kinds of stuff thats mechanical. How many guys here have had 2 stroke gm diesels in ford trucks? So a sbc isnt that odd. But hating on your truck and mistreating your stuff is just plain wrong.
He probably got his doors blown off by a ford once or has a small mans complex For a work truck i loved Autocars. Hauled a lot of heavy loads with a 290 Cummins and a 6 speed. Next choice who have to be a Mack. But the late 60s ford superduty trucks are one of the best looking heavy duty ford. |

Re: Chevy guys
Closed minded people usually mock that which they don’t understand in order to hide their ignorance. I had a 462” Pontiac Firebird I uses to street race back in the 80’s. You should see the reactions from Chevy guys every time I smoked one of them. They wouldn’t believe that a Pontiac was capable of such feats. Won a lot of money because of it. Arrogance will bite your ass sooner or later.

Re: Chevy guys
I hate to say this about other "car enthusiasts", but I've seen that as well. I don't get it, the percentage of "asshats" seems to be far higher with "Chevy Guys" any any other group. There is a sub-group among them that is even worse, and that is the "Corvette People". They have Corvette Jackets, Corvette watches, Corvette dishes and silverware, and even embroidered Corvette silk bed sheets.
I used to be a GM guy, but had a slew of terrible experiences in the '70's and '80's which cured me completely. I do own a 1967 Corvette, because it is almost an exact duplicate of the first new car I ever bought, but I no way consider myself a "Chevy Guy" and am even more emphatic about not being "Corvette People". |

Re: Chevy guys
I never understood the "brand this or that" mentality.
Should have grabbed him the ear & pulled him out, told him to stop vandalizing your truck. Now water his letterbox from the inside. With urine. And i am trying to fit a chevy head to my ford hehe...

Re: Chevy guys
Back in the Nineties, we had Ford club ~ Chevy club picnics, each other hosting every other year. The Peoples Choice Awards got kinda interesting!

Re: Chevy guys
I've gotten the "too bad it isn't a Chevy" comment a few times.....
I used to work for GM, there are definitely some real GM#1 jackasses out there. Last edited by 1948F-1Pickup; 04-24-2020 at 06:01 PM. |
