Wanted: foot rests or information, 40 Ford

I have a business coupe with jump seats and with my LeBaron Bonney interior kit I have covers for two foot rests that go behind the front seat. I have seen pictures on line and I know I can make them but I would like to be correct, I know the size and I assume they are made out of plywood and attach with angle brackets to the lower channels on the seat spring Just need to know if I am correct and if so how thick was the plywood? Thanks in advance for any information.
