Default 1936 Pickup seat backrest spring

The backrest spring has the hinges which attach at the base and the tops have the steel rail sticking up above the seat springs. How do they not interfere with the cover over the springs? Can anyone post any picks on how this looks in the cab attached ?
Thanks,

Pat

I don't have any pictures right now but I can get some in the next couple days if you need to. Those rails sticking up need to come off when you cover the seat. After the seat is done put them on and they will come right up the back of the seat. They stick out just enough to slide them into the notches in the rear of the cab.

Here you go....I hope this helps some....I used heat shrink tubing on the ends that get inserted up inside the channel right below the rear window to eliminate any rattling....

The back of the seat is not covered. The covering just wraps around the edge and is fastened to the exposed frame.

Those vertical bars are not meant to be taken off. They are welded on. Wrap the seat covering around them neatly. They don't really show anyhow.

I like your heat shrink tubing idea. Should help.
