Default Antique padlock ???

Not directly car related but may have come off an old garage or barn door ?

Can anyone identify it?....Age and country of origin?

It's 13 inches long and 2 inches thick.

A key fits the square on the back which then opens the flap in the front to take the key to open the lock.... I will try to attach a photo of the key on the square and the flap open

I have seen a more modern version for locking mail bags. The bag has a series of eyelets around the top. You thread the rod through all of the eyelets then install the lock as tight as it will go. Perhaps the double key setup is so 2 people would have to be present to open it - kind of like a safe deposit box at the bank.
