If someone has a 2GC carb. handy, would you please measure the diameter of the bores where they meet the manifold and their center to center distance for me please?

i think there the same as a holly # 887 used on 49-51 mercs. ken ct.

Approximate... Yardstick measurements... bore = about 1.45 & spacing = about 1.585 to about 1.600 This is for the early 2GC, the one applicable to flathead folks.

There is a later carb that has a bore of 1.680, on a spacing of 1.875. This later carb is from things like 70-75 Chev, and of course, the earlier is something like 57-66 283's.

The 2G series came out in 53 on the Olds 88 and was then the standard carb on 2 bbl equipped GM V8's. Cfm varies from roughly 210 to 260 in the small base version.

I just picked up a 2GV for a 73 Chevy Nova, 307 cu. PN 7043100. I plan to use this on the Merc mainfold. Carb opening is 1 3/8 vs Merc. manifold 1 5/16. Do you hve any other infor from your manuals that might help out with this carb? Thanks. Ken
