It seems to me that if there was a difference they would be listed as for left and right side of the car. IMHO for sealed beam cars it is all in the aiming of the bulb. The ditch side bulb is aimed straight ahead. The bulb on the side to the center of the road is aimed down a little and focused on the center of the lane.

I read it. I missed anything about AERO. It said it is about the aiming for driving on different sides of the road in different countries. Until it got into modern headlights and options.

SEAL BEAM refers to the older glass (and some plastic) HDL Systems. AERO refers to modern plastic HDL Systems (designed to conform to body shaping).

Some (AERO) are designed to be aimed either way, some not. The beam patterns shown by (dmsfrr) are later refinements in AERO lamp projection and therefore would not be either-side multi-usage.
